Our school is committed to the idea of photography as an accessible means of personal and artistic expression. To that effect, PhotoManhattan has been for the past 9+ years, offering great  photography instruction at rates that are a fraction than those offered around the area.
Located at Union Square our school is surrounded by photo galleries and stores and a few minutes away from the artsy environment of lower Manhattan.

COURSES
Our courses fit all levels of experience and interests. Whether you just want to learn how to use your camera in full manual mode or master the techniques of Studio and Lighting, PhotoManhattan is the place for you!
Featured courses:
 *Studio & Lighting: Hands on training on Studio equipment, and lighting techniques. Features live model and weekly in-class shooting. All equipment is provided.
* Portraiture: Wide range of topics from environmental shots through Lighting & composition, to directing the subject and studio setup. Includes live model.
* Photography in Automatic Mode: Exposure, composition and a hand-full of tricks and tips for using  your Point & Shoot or SLR cameras in automatic mode.
We pride ourselves of providing a hands on learning environment with in class shooting, great group dynamics as well as a personable and fun atmosphere.

*FREE monthly seminars: These sessions are designed to provide the opportunity to observe a real class as an open house. Free for all.

RENTALS
PhotoManhattan offers its students the option to book Studio and Darkroom Rentals that can be used to develop an ongoing portofolio, or simply to further experiment with the material learned in class, We believe this is a great way to push your photography to the next dimension. One-on One tutors are available to guide your through when needed.
