Andrew Shapiro
Andrew studied photojournalism at the University of Texas,
during which time he traveled both in the U.S. and the world
extensively, shooting mostly documentary photography. He is
now an independent artist living in Brooklyn. His concern
is less with the composed moment, but rather with the studied
image, the idea that examining and capturing light and nuance
can serve both the photographer and the viewer to better understand
where their perceptions and their environment meet.

Charles Lavoie
Charles received a BFA in fine art photography from the College
for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI in 2004. Throughout 2004
and 2005 he worked as a freelance newspaper photographer before
moving to his current residence in Brooklyn, where he now
works as a freelance product/editorial photographer. Always
one to be fascinated by the technical processes of photography,
Charles has integrated many digital techniques into his traditional
workflow. His personal work often focuses a critical eye on
humanity, but also seeks to capture and create passing moments
of beauty and abstract form: he describes his work as, "an
optimist's way of dealing with a profoundly absurd world."
