Through the study of different techniques: composition,
lighting, and special effects such as photomontage and
surrealism, students will develop a better understanding
of how different techniques can be used to manipulate
and change the meaning of a given image. A weekly study
of various famous photographers & historical movements
in portraiture, documentary, illustration, and abstract
photography, will strongly develop the students' sense
of creativity and ability for "representation". Weekly
assignments will be given to further develop the students'
understanding of each class' subject matter as well as
